Along with its effective and easy-to-use firewall and additional security features, this new version of ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite brings mostly solid antispyware protection to the table. ZoneAlarm's wizard makes configuring a firewall incredibly easy. The application's stylish interface and simple slider controls make maintaining and updating settings a snap. The app now boasts an ultrasecure triple-layer firewall, which safeguards your machine's OS and Registry. Experts will appreciate options that let them set up custom rules. The program's Zones feature also allows you to assign different security levels for local networks and the Internet. We found ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite to be very good at recognizing and automatically including settings for our local network, and it also can automatically detect wireless machines. In all our tests, the firewall guarded against all external and internal threats it encountered.

Beyond the firewall function, ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite includes an antivirus scanner based on Computer Associates' Vet Anti-Virus. You also get a cookie cleaner, an ad blocker, a pop-up stopper, and new antispwyare tools. Happily, the app offers both real-time protection against malware as well as a scanning engine. In our tests, spyware scans were blisteringly fast and almost always accurate, though ZoneAlarm Pro did leave a few minor traces that some dedicated utilities removed. The real-time module also fared pretty well, but we wish it offered more information on potential threats from directly within the program. Elsewhere, we like the privacy-protection features, which let you apply settings individually to different Web sites. The ID Lock feature stores personal information, such as social security and credit card numbers. Internet Security Suite is the only version of ZoneAlarm to incorporate a basic filter that blocks sites according to various types of content; you can configure it to block various types of naughtiness or just one category, such as racist material. Security Suite also incorporates the company's IMSecurity program, which protects instant-messenging programs from spam and encrypts messages (so long as the person on the other end also is using IMSecurity). Users looking for one solution to almost all their Internet-security concerns can turn to ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite.

  "Very aggressive, watches over your coputer, stops sneak attacks"

  Pros: Tons of options, settings & System information. Maybe too much info & alerts. Red flags don't always mean "bad", since installing software can change registry settings causing ZA to throw a red flag, but can also throw a red flag if spyware is trying to change your settings. Careful analysis of "alerts" should be done before deciding. Excellent security controls as well as privacy control. Anti-virus & anti-spyware are extremely simple, but also seem very effective, compared to SpyWare Doctor, SpyBot, AdAware, & AVG, A more aggressive firewall than another 2 popular ones I've used in the past.

  Also like the automatic & manual internet lockdown, password protected settings, parental controls, & gives you the option to "Kill" or "unkill" certain programs at will. Also able to block third party cookies, web bugs, & several others. You can also block banner adds & block spam in your instant messaging settings.

  Since installing ZA 5 months ago, & taking the time to read the help section & learn about the different settings & alert windows, I have basically stopped all spyware from being installed on my (& family's) computer.

  Cons: Occasional crashes, about 3 times in 5 months, requiring system reboot.

  If you're not careful, you can put your computer in a near coma. It's best to click "More Info" when alerts pop up before deciding your actions & not reset "system" settings if at all possible, as I have learned.

  Pros: I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PROGRAM IT HAS ALOT OF STUFF TO PROTECTED YOUR COMPUTER AND ITS BETTER THAN NORTON THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY

  Version: ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 6.5.7

  "Fast and Bulletproof"

  Pros: This suite has cmprehensive protection against spyware, viruses, spam, and intrusion, plus parental control of content for children and online privacy protection.

  Scanning is surprisingly fast and relatively easy on system resources. It's much faster than Norton or McAfee. Best of all, it's easy to configure and use. After about a month it learned enough about my PC to stop asking me security questions each time I went online or used a program. Now, I barely notice it's there, it runs so lightly and quietly.

  Cons: I have one minor dislike. The "advisor" feature that pops up to warn about program activity has yet to offer a single bit of advice! It would be truly great if this ambitious feature actually worked but even though it doesn't, just knowing what program is trying to go online or change the registry is usually enough to decide whether to allow it.

  "BEST BEST BEST!!"

  Pros: Forget the people critise this software! IT is awesome!!! Blocks hackers intruders... got an antivirus, spyware, firewall, pop up blocker all in ONE software. I LOVE IT! All this time I had been searching a program which has everything all in one. This is the one!

  Cons: No cons. You just need to adjust the settings a little bit for the popping up alerts if it gets annoying.

  "There is no quiestion hands down this is a great program, one of the best..."

  Pros: Zone Alarm is the about fourth firewall I've tried and pretty much the only one that hasn't given me problems. It's not necessarily the best compared to the others, but more like zone alarm seems to be idiot proof! The more info button is a great idea, it takes you to the z.a. site and it tells you what happened, that is in case of an alert. It has the ease of changing if you would like it to ask for programs to be accesible without asking or with asking or to be blocked completely. I also like on how fast it is, there is almost no change in internet speed and it is by far much faster than any other anti-virus hands down. I haven't had any viruses since i switched to zone alarm and it has already blocked a whopping 4,000 intrusions with 15 of those being high rated.

  Cons: Not much to say here.....
