Along with its effective and easy-to-use firewall and additional security features, this new version of ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite brings mostly solid antispyware protection to the table. ZoneAlarm's wizard makes configuring a firewall incredibly easy. The application's stylish interface and simple slider controls make maintaining and updating settings a snap. The app now boasts an ultrasecure triple-layer firewall, which safeguards your machine's OS and Registry. Experts will appreciate options that let them set up custom rules. The program's Zones feature also allows you to assign different security levels for local networks and the Internet. We found ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite to be very good at recognizing and automatically including settings for our local network, and it also can automatically detect wireless machines. In all our tests, the firewall guarded against all external and internal threats it encountered.
Beyond the firewall function, ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite includes an antivirus scanner based on Computer Associates' Vet Anti-Virus. You also get a cookie cleaner, an ad blocker, a pop-up stopper, and new antispwyare tools. Happily, the app offers both real-time protection against malware as well as a scanning engine. In our tests, spyware scans were blisteringly fast and almost always accurate, though ZoneAlarm Pro did leave a few minor traces that some dedicated utilities removed. The real-time module also fared pretty well, but we wish it offered more information on potential threats from directly within the program. Elsewhere, we like the privacy-protection features, which let you apply settings individually to different Web sites. The ID Lock feature stores personal information, such as social security and credit card numbers. Internet Security Suite is the only version of ZoneAlarm to incorporate a basic filter that blocks sites according to various types of content; you can configure it to block various types of naughtiness or just one category, such as racist material. Security Suite also incorporates the company's IMSecurity program, which protects instant-messenging programs from spam and encrypts messages (so long as the person on the other end also is using IMSecurity). Users looking for one solution to almost all their Internet-security concerns can turn to ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite.

"one of the best, if i may say so !"
Pros: an excellant firewall, clubbed with a good
anti-virus and average anti-spyware, gives
the desired protection ! these "3-gether" act in tandem and therefore offer a formidable defense against internet attacks !
plus its got parental control, email/im protection,program/registry control, etc.
i have found it very easy to install, uninstall, update and configure ! very easy to disable totally...if u shud require ! and if u do, u
dont find any services starting or just running in the background and hogging resources uneccessarily ! i think its pretty resource efficient, considering the job it does !
Cons: updating the firewall means downloading the whole of 25mb again !

"Dont Even Bother Looking Anywere Else"
Pros: What could I say that hasn't already been said? Top-Notch Firewall, Excellent Anti-virus software, Essential Email Protection, Fast & Thorough Anti-spyware. Theres even something for the chatty customer... IM Security!
Ill go into detail about the features now:
- Firewall~ Very effective, and not to mention award winning! This blocks nearly everything thinking about trying to hack someone. It even makes sure you dont have and already installed programs or processes relaying any malicious software! What is truely remarkable is that it has blocked 1349 intrusion attempts! Even at that 1196 of them being high rated!
- Antivirus~ Nothing less then best! It deep scans into your hard drive were other programs might not. Now dont be mistaken, free antivirus programs may be good for temporary purpases, but lets face it: your not going to get the strength and power of a paid program. I have gotten rid of 19 viruses since the install. You hear how bad one virus could be... imagine 19 of them all on your computer.
- Antivirus~ This is very handy, because while you run a virus scan, you can also have it scan for spyware following the virus sweep's completion! It has removed 37 spies since install. Now I had other programs before getting this, so if you think 37 is low, it is because I was previosuly protected. Never the less, Zone Alarm's anti-spyware found some others did not.
- Instant Messaging Security~ Have you gotten AIM, Yahoo Messanger, MSN or Windows Messanger? If you do, you'll love this. This will scan incoming messages, without slowing you down a bit.
The Bottem Line;
Norton.. Mcafee... all the same. Not the comrehensivity, nor the speed of Zone Alarm Security Suite. If you own Norton you know this: It slows down your computer massivly, esspecially at startup. As for Mcafee, no power. This wasnt worth the time and effort at all. It didnt find anything relitivly important. If you want absolute security and not having a doubt in your mind about your computer's safty, you have got to get this.

"The company has its own mind.."
Pros: Great firewall,average antivirus,it has vet,again average antispyware,good anti-spam...
Overall good security system..
Cons: One of the biggest problem is apart from firewall it does"jack of all,master of none" kinda job...
ever since checkpoint has taken over since version 6,there has been nothing but bug-fixes in 3 releases and 6.5 will be the same..
After checkpoint was caught calling home,they have done nothing...in last 1.5 months and it doesn't look like it will do so till april...

Pros: I just recently puchased zone-alarm security suite and although it costs 60 bones its well worth it. It already has stopped 302 illegal intrusions and has saved my butt on a few occasions. Along with the firewall which is fantastic comes a spyware scanner that has killed 8 worms and trojans that my primary antivirus missed. It has also eliminated spyware that adaware and spybot missed. It is a very easy to use and understand, and it is easy on your computers resources meaning you can browse the web while its on without the lag and slow speeds other firewalls tend to give you. This should tell you that zone-alarm is well worth the cost. I couldnt be any happier or feel any safer with it.
Cons: the only thing that i wish it had better was the anti-virus scanner\remover included in this suite. It still has the anti-virus firewall incuded tho.
