Publisher's description of ZoneAlarm ForceField
From ZoneAlarm:ZoneAlarm ForceField is a security product designed specifically to protect you while you bank, shop, or surf dangerous areas of the Internet. It does this by creating a virtual "bubble" around your surfing session, protecting your PC from fraudulent websites, phishing scams, spyware Web sites, and dangerous downloads. ZoneAlarm ForceField also ensures that spyware that may already be on your PC cannot steal your information while you bank and shop. And it cleans the PC after a Web browsing session to prevent your personal information from being left behind. So your passwords, your confidential information, and your financial data remain protected.
Version 1.0.331 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

ZoneAlarm Forcefield offers an extra layer of protection while browsing the Web by protecting users from spyware and phishing sites. While it did successfully notify us of suspicious content, we wouldn't rely solely on this program for protection.
Oddly, though the program claims to be free, a prompt appeared asking us if we wanted to buy now or continue the trial. Aside from this, we found the user interface very straightforward to operate. A toolbar appears in your IE window that can be minimized. There, you'll find a drop-down menu containing links to the publisher's Web site, as well as settings that include checking for updates, confirmation messages, and startup options. Beyond that, you'll find a shortcut button that displays protection activity, a button that displays individual site protection status, and a button that opens a private browser for surfing the Web without leaving any traces. As we browsed, we repeatedly checked our protection status, and indeed the program notified us of possible harmful data that was blocked. The private browser also appeared to let us browse undetected.
Unless you're a computer guru, most users are just going to have to take the program's word that it blocks suspicious content; there isn't much indication of what it's doing behind the scenes. But as long as you have your bases covered in terms of virus protection, this program is a nice addition to keep you safe.

Version: ZoneAlarm ForceField 1.0.331
Cons: Why bother to pay for shareware? Practice safe hex. Use firewall and AV. You're good to go. FF is like a addition... more like a toy to your arsenal. But it's on the user's decision. Looking at the ratings... FF isn't really that popular. :-(

Version: ZoneAlarm ForceField 1.0.331
Pros: It is a nice tool to have on your computer. I found no Spyware on my computer, even when going to sites that Mc Afee Site Advisor said was bad.
Cons: Not free. But unlike jockey9, I don't think that it not being free is a good enough reason for it to be rated only 1 star.

Version: ZoneAlarm ForceField 1.0.331
Cons: After installing, my computer turned to glue, navigation times were painful, Outlook misbehaved and Dreamweaver threw up dozens of error messages. I thought my pc was packing up. I've now uninstalled and everything is fine again.

Version: ZoneAlarm ForceField 1.0.331
Pros: I have used the trial version for about a week and am pleased with its performance. I visited a couple of "crack" sites and was instantly informed that these sites were "dangerous" and should not be visited.
Cons: It seems to have a problem connecting to sites that I have been directed to from links in my emails.
