This spyware zapper quickly takes care of business but isn't quite as nimble as many other competitors. We're fans of ZeroSpyware's attractive and straightforward interface. In terms of performance, this application is somewhat more of a mixed bag, detecting some--but not all--adware components installed on our PC. This is possibly because the free program won't let you update its database of known offenders. Also, the active-protection module noticed only one of five pieces of malware in our system memory and didn't block any while they were installing. The good news is scans took considerably less time than Ad-Aware or Spybot-Search & Destroy and didn't tax our PC's overall performance. Before deleting spyware components, the utility backs them up and explains why found entries can be hazardous to your computer. Despite a small feature set and some reliability issues, we think ZeroSpyware could be of some use to folks pressed for time.Publisher's description

Pros: It found 7 spywares in my pc, im currently using spybot,spy sweeper,xoftspy,spy emergency, all missed what zerospyware found. Well done and thanks! FREE!

"Solid in tests - Needs databse updates in a rush"

Cons: Missed quite a few programs and seemed to leak memory so leaving it running wasn't a lon-term option

"Lots of bells and whistles...... big deal!!!"
Pros: At first you get impressed with the refinement and great interface with this program. It is well thought out and quite user friendly. Scan seem to be very thorough and a detailed report of what is is scanning is displayed in real time. It boasts real-time monitoring of your system.
All-in-all this SEEMS like a good anti-spyware program ...but.... read below for the cons!!
Cons: This program is very large compared to other real-time monitoring programs...31Mb!!!!! WOW..
Even when this is not running it seemed to slow my PC down. It did not detect the WHENU DOWNLOADER after I put it on my PC intentionally to see if this program would find it. That's an "F" in my book. Overall I wasn't impressed with the ability to detect adware/spyware. Afterall isn't that what they are supposed to do? It just looks good. Sorry,I'd rather have an ugly program that detects everything possible, than a "pretty" resource hogging non-effective one.

"Pretty neat program. Found lots of spyware."
Pros: The program found lots of spyware that 7 other programs didn't find.
Cons: I suspect that it gives some false positives. It claimed I had coolwebsearch in my system and I know for a fact my computer didn't. Suspicious!
