Pros
I love ZapGrab. I use it all the time. This software is famous as a program that can directly save screenshots as picture files in Windows 7, Vista, XP and Mac. It saves so much byte space when you need to SHOW someone what you are talking about it. I have told a lot of other people about it too & they love it. It's great.

Although the program is simple to use it doesn't have enough functionality to cover the cost of $6.
If you know anything about programing you could easily create a program that will do the exact same thing as this.
I could do the same thing with PRNT SCRN and mspaint.exeSummary
The CONVENIENCE of using ZapGrab does not outweigh the $6 it costs. On the other hand this is a great tool for taking sections of images and putting them into a power point presentation. but you can do the same thing zapgrab does using the PRNTSCRN button and mspaint/paint/photoshop/other image editors.
Overall this program is quick and easy to use but is not worth the outrageous cost of $6. -

Program won't work without a password, password costs $6, so I can't even try the software.

CNet header says that ZapGrab is free. It is not. It doesn't even give you limited version to try. First thing you have to do, is visit their site to get a "password" to enable to program to run, and it costs $6 to get that. So it is NOT free. I don't have a problem paying for software that works, but I am not going to pay before even trying the software. Pretty disappointing.

I upgraded from zapgrab to zapgrab2 since my original zapgrab exe file became corrupted and would not function. I installed zapgrab2 and the software functions were fully restored and I replaced the icon with the new installation process without incident. - Excellent!
