Publisher's description of ZTerm
From Alverson Software:ZTerm is a terminal emulation program for the Macintosh. In its day, many people used it to connect to Bulletin Board Systems and download files. Now we have the Internet. ZTerm is still a useful utility for those systems that offer only dial-up connections and for connecting to devices through a serial port, as do many routers. For newer Macs that don't have a normal serial port, ZTerm can talk to ports on USB to serial adapters, through the appropriate driver software supplied with the adapter. New features is version 1.1 include separate versions for Mac OS 8/9 and Mac OS X and the addition of an appearance manager and navigation services. The OS X version gets a list of serial ports from IORegistry.

Version: ZTerm 1.1
Summary: it didn't react to any keyboard input, didn't have a quit menu, disturbed keyboard behavior in other running apps
-
Version: ZTerm 1.1
Summary: Tested on OS 10.1.5 with Keyspan USA-19W USB to DB9 adaptor and it WORKED GREAT natively in X!!! Once I set modem option to serial adaptor, immediately connected to my Cisco router!! One less reason to ever go back to OS 9 :-)

Version: ZTerm 1.1
Summary: ...
OS 9.1 users should also be able to use it ... -
Version: ZTerm 1.1
"pretty stupid to hide OS9 inside OS X file that OS9 users cannot open!"
-
Version: ZTerm 1.1
Summary: If you don't have OS X, this program is of little use. Why bother having OS 8/9 programs included in the package.
