Version: Yahoo! SiteBuilder 2.2
"The software was cumbersome but had good templates at the time of release"
Pros: Software was good in 2005
Cons: Now is 2007 almost 2008 and the software is without updates. I think it's practically outdated and useless now. You can get free templates on the web. Just type in Google free website templates. You will be swamped with options.

Version: Yahoo! SiteBuilder 2.2
"frustrating even for a web designer"
Pros: Lots of templates to choose from.
Cons: Very slow to upload\download files from your server on a broadband connection. Web pages don't look like how they appear in the program. The coding is very messy. Also, it can't edit any html files you've made outside of the program. I found this program to be frustrating, and I'm an html\Dreamweaver expert!

Version: Yahoo! SiteBuilder 2.2
Pros: I've used Sitebuilder for 5 years ever since I read an article in the Wall Street Journal about it. I started designing the websites for my own businesses and now design and publish for others. Sitebuilder piggybacked off my experience with MS Publisher tools and works more like a "quilt" where you literally patch together your text and images unlike like the traditional html editors that require writing code. No knowledge of html is necessary; though you can use code if you want. The sky's the limit with sitebuilder; I've found I can do anything with it. Although in earlier years Yahoo's support could be "iffy" now I find tech support knowledgeable about the application. In addition the online manual is very good.
Cons: The only drawback to Sitebuilder is that you must host your website with Yahoo as it is proprietary software that publishes directly to Yahoo. But with Yahoo's low rates and unlimited bandwidth that's hardly a negative.

Version: Yahoo! SiteBuilder 2.2
Pros: The "drag & drop" is very easy to place things where you want. I like the fact they include fun things like page transitions and graphics you can use. Uploading is really easy and most of the templates they offer you are very professional and neat - and you can customize them anyway you want. For those that like HTML, or dabble in it, this program is great for that too. I can put in applets with ease.
Cons: New templates periodically would be nice. Also, if there is a picture or file that is not being used on your site, I wish it would tell you so you can easily do clean up to free up more space.
