This powerful package has a comprehensive knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, and XML and, where appropriate, tightly integrates with the Concerto server. Easily flip between highlighted bookmarks, breakpoints, etc. in multiple files. Ensure the legitimacy of code with a full syntax parsing editor. Whilst other editors only feature keyword highlighting during coding (highlighting a keyword rather than telling you if it is correctly used in context), Coda uses colour alerts to highlight incomplete/invalid code as you type. When examining Concerto pages with Coda, you can switch straight into debugging mode. The debugger provides you with a graphical view of the internals of the application under development allowing you to play, pause and step through your application whilst examining the state of variables and systems resources.

"Doesn't work"

Pros: Free

Cons: Well the UI looks terrible and I think the good review here is from the developer. I was trying to debug some javascript so I tried this tool. For some reason though the debug function is blanked out and there doesn't seem to be a way to get it to start. I wouldn't bother with this software.

P.S.
If you're looking for a tool to syntax highlight html and php then look at php designer which is a brilliant tool the only thing it doesn't do is debug javascript.
