This free program provides a number of helpful tools for working with digital photos. XnView's pane interface shouldn't disorient most users, as it uses a tree-like structure to let you view your shots and browse your music collection.
Our lone complaint on this front is that the more complex effects and filters aren't accessible via the main window and require you to double-click a shot before you can use them. Besides standard tools for rotating images and renaming files in bulk, this app also can convert pics among a wide variety of formats.
In addition, you'll find tools for capturing screenshots and creating basic slide shows, as well as a simple audio player. We were excited to see a utility for generating Web galleries, but we quickly despaired when we couldn't get it to work. Still, we recommend XnView to digital photographers who already have a first-class editing program.

"A great program made even better with this new version"
Pros: I have been using this program through several previous versions and was very pleased with it, but this new version is really great. There are too many features to mention.
If you have used it before - upgrade to this version. If you have never used it - download it and you will never use any other program of its' kind again.

Version: XnView 1.92.1
Cons: Don't know if it's true, CNET should be checking this out. IF it is, Delete it.
IF it's not delete Irfanview ? I guess.
Something should be said to one of them.
www irfanview com
IrfanView is trying to create new and/or interesting features in its own way, unlike some other graphic viewers, whose whole "creativity" is based on feature cloning, stealing of ideas and whole dialogs from ACDSee and/or IrfanView! (for example: XnView has been stealing/cloning features and whole dialogs from IrfanView, for 7+ years).
