DPG is a special kind of MPG format that allows the viewing of video files on the Nintendo DS. With Xilisoft DPG Converter, it's easy to convert a wide variety of different video formats to DPG, letting Nintendo DS owners take their favorite clips with them on the go.
Xilisoft DPG Converter is quite simple to use. Users simply select the file or files they wish to convert, choose the desired output format and destination, and click Convert. The program supports the conversion of a wide variety of file types, including AVI, MPG, WMV, and more. Files can be converted into several different types of DPG files or MPG files. For each video users can choose the name, video size, video quality, audio quality, and channels, and a small video viewer allows users to preview video clips before conversion to ensure that they've selected the right one. The program also supports the conversion of a variety of audio formats into MP3 or MP2 files. Overall, there was nothing about the program that particularly impressed us--it's really just a run-of-the-mill file converter--but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The program is easy to use and isn't cluttered with a bunch of pointless and confusing features. The interface is fairly intuitive, and converting files will be easy even for users who've never done it before. The program's built-in Help file is brief but adequate.
Xilisoft DPG Converter is free to try, but the trial version only converts 5 minutes or half of any given file. The program installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
