XML Spy is exactly that kind of tool. With its structured approach, it allows you to quickly view and edit any XML or DTD document on your PC. Unlike the many Java-based XML editors available today, XML Spy is written entirely in C and is targeted specifically at the Windows platform. XML Spy can open and edit any XML, XSL (Extensible Style Sheet), 3DML (3D Markup Language), or DTD file. Version 2.5 features a three-view architecture, DTD validation, and enhanced customization options through a new tabbed settings dialog.
