Wowser is useful for people who have more than one web browser installed on their Macintosh, and who often times run a web browser other than the one which is configured as the default. When the system tells the default web browser to open an URL, Wower intercepts that command and looks to see if the default browser is already running. If it isn't, and some other web browser is, then the command is sent to that other one instead.
