Whether you're studying for graduate school tests, or just looking to improve your word skills, WordSmart offers an elegant system for boosting vocabulary knowledge. The program offers five ways of memorizing new words, including simple multiple choice tests, virtual flash cards, and a shooting game. We are particularly impressed with the detailed explanation the application offers for each word, including etymological information that can help with the learning process. It is designed with a pleasant, smooth Flash interface, which most users should find simple to navigate through. A 14-day trial consists of only 20 words, but that should be ample for testing the program. We would happily recommend this to anybody who wants to build his or her vocabulary, but who wants more than just the traditional flash card approach.Publisher's description

Version: WordSmart Vocabulary Volume I 1
"Customer service is downright hostile."
Pros: I cannot comment on the program, since I merely wanted to return it after purchasing it. My daughter was using a different SAT prep program.
Cons: Wordsmart's deceptive sales techniques remind me of "Glengarry Glen Ross". The whole thing is a con.
Summary: Infuriating, rude and condescending customer service.

"Customer service is non-existent"
Pros: Nothing exceptional -espsecially for the price
Cons: It did not capture my kid's attention - they would not use it.
The company makes returns impossible.
Software was not current with today's standardsSummary: This product has a 30 day money back guarantee. However, when I called to return it, they insisted I try it again for 30 days. WHen I called back to return it the second time, they said I was 1 day too late. THey refused to let me talk to a super... read more >>

Version: WordSmart Vocabulary Volume I 1
Pros: I enjoyed using the program for myself.
Cons: My kids didn't like the program. So I called to return the product because it's not worth $300 and the Customer service Rep was VERY rude and unprofessional. This person made a very bad impression on this company.
Summary: Unprofessional and rude customer service.

"Product - so, so... Customer Service - the worst!!!!"
Pros: Easy to get convinced to use the software as a try-out (free for 30 days with a 'no problem' to extend it)
Cons: Customer service (management) is impossible to work with to return the product after 30 days.
Summary: I have never dealt with customer service (especially management) as customer unfriendly as this one.
I don't think I will ever user their software again. - See all 5 user reviews Write review
