From Claro Software :WordRead augments proofing by eye, by providing an audio read back of text. It can act as a reading assistant for all ages, and is simple to use. The Full Version includes the advanced voice synthesis technology RealSpeak from ScanSoft. The accuracy and human quality of text read-back is highly impressive. It's so simple to proof read and 'listen to' Word documents, emails, web pages, spreadsheets, presentations, and certain PDF files. You can even generate audio files (.wav) of complete documents or articles from Microsoft Word with WordRead (on Windows XP). Listen to them later on your portable audio player or playback on your PC. Prior to the advent of electronic spelling and grammar checkers, documents were often proof read for accuracy by one person reading the text to another. The human ear can often pick up errors, which the eye can miss. Let your Ears do the Proofing.
