Guide young readers by teaching them word families. Word families are words with common phonetic features or phonic patterns, typically rhyming words with the same ending pattern of letters.

WordFamilies FREE is a fully functioning lite app containing 10 commonly used word families in the English language. Here are the word families included in WordFamilies FREE:

-ab, -ack, -ad, -ag, -ail, -ain, -ake, -ale, -all, -est

WordFamilies FREE starts up with a random word family selected. Press the Next Word button to cycle through the words in the selected word family. Press the Say Word button to listen to the word. Press the Family button to select another word family.

The full version of WordFamilies contains over 40 word families and is also available in the App Store. The full version contains the following phonics word families:
