Wondershare MobileGo for Android links your mobile phone to your Windows PC via Wi-Fi for super-easy uploading, downloading, backups, apps management, and more. It's a two-part system, with a free Android app on your phone or tablet and premium software on your Windows PC. The Android app includes a speed-up feature that frees up memory and closes unneeded apps. The Windows program does much more, like installing apps, sending SMS, finding duplicate contacts, transferring files and contacts, importing and converting music and other media files (including iTunes playlists), and one-click backup of all or some of your phone's data and records to your PC.

Pros

QR Code Wi-Fi-to-PC: We merely had to scan a QR Code on our Windows PC with MobileGo's Android app to establish a Wi-Fi connection between our phone and PC.

One-click backup: It covers pictures, videos, and other media in its backups.

Musically inclined: Basically, Wondershare was designed for music and video enthusiasts who like to text.

USB, too: No Wi-Fi? You can connect to your PC with MobileGo through your phone's USB cable, too.

Cons

Bit pricey: MobileGo for Android isn't expensive, and you can try it free for 15 days. But free apps replicate many of its features, if not its convenience.

Bottom Line

Wondershare's MobileGo for Android is one of the easiest ways to tether your phone and PC we've tried, and it handily bested our phone's native app in convenience and reliability. Considering the value and importance of your phone, data, contacts, and so on, MobileGo's price seems quite reasonable.

    "Worked really well"

    February 27, 2014   |   By Teemoson

Version: Wondershare MobileGo for Android 4.1.0

    Pros

I started using mobilego when I purchased my galaxy s4 a couple months ago and this is the best phone manager. Using the mobile app with this pc software is so easy and take two seconds to connect over WiFi. I have never had a problem connecting over WiFi,. This is the best app to completely manage your phone and keep everything backed up. It's nice to be able to control your texts and calls while working on your pc. I tip my hat to whoever made this software. Well done!

    Cons

    Seriously it worked very well:)

    I like MobileGo so much

    Pros

I love this application. It combines everything you would want to do on your computer with your phone and everything you would do on your phone. Good job Guys.
On a side note, if there is an option to connect the phone via bluetooth other than using wifi it'd be just greater.:)

    Cons

    Still looking

    Recommended android phone manager!

    "Decent phone manager."

    January 23, 2014   |   By jordanMo

Version: Wondershare MobileGo for Android 4.1.0

    Pros

A back up program is what I was initially looking for when i first found MobileGo for Android (I had the demo version before upgraded to the paid version). It does so much more than back-up - I use MobileGo for my android daily , it is so easy to use that I wait until I get to my PC to compose text messages ( much faster with my keyboard than one finger on the phone). It helps a lot while working. ;)

And picture transfer is a breeze. It's even reduced my duplicate contacts from 500+ down to 400. One downside - Had to install HTC's useless HTC Sync first for the phone driver to connect.

    Cons

    Nothing bad to say

    Summary

It cured me of my headache for the SMS management and other data management such as contacts, etc. Money well-spent.

    "Terrible! Do not buy"

    November 20, 2013   |   By missziggy

Version: Wondershare MobileGo for Android 4.1.0

    Pros

Nothing... it doesnt work once you purchase it!

    Cons

This is the second time I used a Wondershare product and thought oh well, I'll spend the $30 to purchase as it's already into my system. I spent the money and then the registration code didn't work. I am more computer savvy than most people and tried everything. I asked for a refund and they said, let me help you and kept telling me what to do, install, reinstall, here is a new file, try this. Nothing worked! Very dissatisfied. I wasted 20+ hours in the last 5 days and I'm out $30 and it doesn't work!

    Summary

The company has the right idea but they need to get their act together, also should have a phone number for contact as replying to emails takes them a day. Frustrating to purchase something and then have it do nothing but crash your system when you try registering it.

"Semi-functional sync program for Android to PC"

    December 04, 2012   |   By tbryson92110

Version: Wondershare MobileGo for Android 2.1

    Pros

~Backs up: Contacts, Apps, Music, Pix, Videos, & SMS.
~You can Manage photos, videos & music.
~You can Send & Receive Texts from PC keyboard.
~Manage downloads and Apps from your PC.
WHEN YOU CAN GET IT TO CONNECT RELIABLY!

    Cons

    ~Wi-Fi backups are painfully slow.
~USB backups are fast, but it is incredibly difficult to connect via this method.
(I thought it was just my incompetence until I read the other user's reviews here. I even tried different cables and ports.)
~Rebooting seems to help when you want to connect.

    Summary

I won't buy the Pro paid-upgrade until the free version works well enough for at LEAST 4 stars, 5 stars preferably!

"Money down the drain... so far."

    September 28, 2012   |   By PeteCress2

Version: Wondershare MobileGo for Android 2.0.1

    Pros

    None that come to mind.

    Cons

So far, I cannot make it synchronize with Microsoft Address book. All it will do is import - and it does not even capture AddressBook's categories when it does.

    Summary

I bought the app in hopes of easing my migration from iPod - with the secret hope that I could also keep synchronizing my iPod and Android contacts in the future.

But I have not even been able to do a good import. It fails to convert Address Book's "Categories" to Android's "Groups".

I am currently unable to see any functional difference between MobileGo for it's substantial price and Kies which is the freebie that came with my device.

Either save your money or find out why what I'm saying is incorrect.

"iTunes for Android - Simple, Attractive, and Works"

    September 09, 2012   |   By PrometheanPhilosophy

Version: Wondershare MobileGo for Android 2.0.1

    Pros

    * UI is very attractive and simple to navigate
    * Backed up my :
    - Contacts
    - Text Messages
    - Apps
    - and other items I don't pay much attention to
    * Restoring all the above is easy and straightforward by going to the "More Tools" option on the left section of the interface

    Cons

    * Took 3 Tries for the Software to connect to my HTC Desire.
    - I thought that perhaps the software wouldn't recognize my phone at all, but, third time was the charm.

    Summary

I spent several hours researching the simplest and most effective way to backup the data on my phone which is most important to me (Apps, Text Messages, Contacts, Browser Bookmarks).

I know Titanium Backup is fantastic for creating a backup on the phone itself, but I wanted to create a backup on my computer before I root my phone, just in case things go badly.

This program has filled this need nicely.

I don't need to use "SMS Backup", or "AppInstaller", or "FileFolder", or "MSBackup",or any other App to create a backup of all the data on my phone which is important to me.

And the free version is very robust as is (very generous on the part of the developers).

I'm still looking for a way to backup my browser bookmarks for Opera Mini, Dolphin, and the phone's built-in browser, so my internet research isn't over yet.

To conclude, an excellent program, which I highly recommend to anyone wanting to backup their Android phone.

P.S : My thanks to Ashish Mundhra from TechPanache for his article which lead me to this excellent software.
