Even though we could have done without the nag screen, this free disk cleaning utility performed very well during our tests. Even beginners will appreciate how easy it is to use.
When you first install Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free, you're taken to the publisher's Web site for more information about the program. Each time we accessed Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free, we received a nag screen asking if we wanted to upgrade to the paid professional version. It was easily bypassed, but became something of a nuisance. A helpful wizard appeared at start-up, and walked us through the disk cleaning process. First, you choose from a long list of file extensions to include in the cleanup. The next step is to select the drives or folders you want to clean, and choose from a list of cleaning options, such as deleting cookies and temporary files. The last step is to choose to run the program in either auto-run or manual mode, and whether you want the files permanently deleted or sent to your recycle bin. Once we went through the wizard, we were sent to the main user interface to click the Scan button. Considering the task at hand, the program worked extremely fast to pull up all of the junk files according to our specifications. It took a little time for the program to delete and send the files to the Recycle Bin, but we were able to continue working during the process.
Our test computer's performance noticeably improved after running the program. Users of all levels will find Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free easy to use and effective, and the nag screen was a small price to pay for this freeware utility.

Pros: Knowing nothing about computers, this is wonderful, as everything is done for me without my having to make any decisions.
Cons: Don't know of any.
Summary: Perfect for anyone like me with little or no knowledge of how to keep the computer running smoothly. It does everything for me. Wonderful!

Pros: Easy to use and the default settings won't mess up anything.
Cons: No explanation of how the disk defrag/optimizer works, so I'm sticking with SmartDefrag for now.
Summary: I recommend this to my friends who aren't particularly computer savy, but need to get some of the junk off their hard drives.

Pros: Found hundreds of registry keys that CCleaner did not - ran it immediately after a CCleaner scan. I was also able to easily compact my registry. Automatically creates a restore point.
Intuitive, professional user interface - very easy to use.Cons: I have not found any yet.
Summary: I have used several products, their free edition seems to work the as well or better than products that I have paid for.
