From Eolsoft :Winmail Opener is a small and simple utility that allows you to view and extract contents of TNEF-encoded messages (infamous winmail.dat). Winmail Opener can decode and show RTF message text and all embedded attachments, has full drag-and-drop support and supports command line mode for batch decoding. Version 1.4 includes multilingual interface (13 languages) and some bug fixes.

Pros: 1. Perfect integration with the email client (I use a web-based email client).
2. Easy extraction of attachments
3. Perfectly renders formatted mail

Pros: Simple and effective

Pros: Saves me having the email attachments resent in a more usable format. Generally, the sender is unaware that the attachments have been bundled into winmail and the file size increased by 50%.
Cons: None so far.
