Pros
All media files are played in perfect quality, also the HD, BluRay rips, excellent, same to audio!

Pros
i installed a previous version (v2.7.0) on my then new Windows 7 laptop about 2 years ago and it has worked flawlessly. so when I got a new Windows 7 netbook it was one of the first things I downloaded. Only when I got a CNET request today for a review did I realize my old laptop's version was out of date. I haven't had a codec problem in 2 years.
Cons
Make sure you sign in to CNET and download there to be sure to get notification of updates.
Summary
It's the type of program that is invisible if it is doing its job. When I installed it two years ago, it took me a couple of months before I sat back and thought, "Hey, I haven't been having any of those codec problems since I installed that thing!"

Summary
I followed the instructions, removing prior codecs.
Installed this version to help because I could play TV shows in MKV format, but larger Movies in MKV wouldnt.
After installing, the movies now play, but for some reason, TV shows will no longer play.
Can't figure out why this happens in either instance.
I use WinMediaCenter to play the videos in.
