A rare find in this genre, WinWSD WebSite Downloader is a freebie that is a snap to use and does what it promises.
The interface is plain, but logically constructed with pull-down menus. Unlike so many other Web site downloaders, this one makes it easy to set up your downloads. You can go with the five default options to download the whole site, skip the multimedia files, grab only photos or only the multimedia files, or download only executables. Those basic scenarios will handle the vast majority of your download needs; while additional tweaks make it easy to specify files to download. Additional options let you set a download to shut down the program or your system after completion. Viewing a completed download is easy inside the program or through your favorite browser. This program doesn't change all internal links to their download location, though it does adjust some. Some of the Help file (and the occasional option) appears in Hungarian.
Those who download whole Web sites or select file types will find this freeware easy to learn and operate, and flexible enough to handle most needs.
Publisher's description
From Attila Keszi :This easy to use software allows us to download Websites, in order to view them offline (without Internet connection) later. The software first downloads the whole Website with pictures, and movies to our computer's hard disk (we need Internet connection for this) and later we can browse offline. So once we download the Website, and later we can browse our favorite Website 24 hours a day without phone bill increase. Using this software is very easy.

"Easy to Use, Convenient, No Problems"
Pros: I was very happy with this program. There are many options, such as the ability to download the website or just the page, to leave in or leave out media/pics, etc., you can define how far into links you want to download, it starts and stops real nice, good indexing, tells you what's downloaded so far and what's not. You simply start a "project" , specify your options by using the tabbed menu, then "add" urls. It also gives detailed information on the transfer speed, progress, etc. I was very happy with this. I downloaded this and another program (surfulator) and surfulator was more difficult so I used this first (and this is free, the other is just free trial), but this will probably be my default offline source for webpages. It's very convenient for saving webpages on related topics and helps keep them organized, and all your links are right there instead of opening up new files all the time. I highly recommend it.
Cons: It would be nice to have the option to start a new project while downloading another. As it stands now, you can only download one "project" at a time and can't create a new one while that's downloading. I did notice sufulator had options for clippings and articles to be attached with the links, and that would be convenient with this program, but since this is free and does the job it's more than worthwhile! Definitely recommend WinWSD Web Downloader.

Version: WinWSD WebSite Downloader 1.1
Pros: It is able to do what you really want: to download a full webpage. It has all the basic options, such as scheduling or connecting via proxy.
Cons: The help is too concise, and the FAQ's are not in english (but in hungarian). Anyway, it is normal in a freeware program.

"Crashes, quite a few crashes."
Pros: Simple, decent layout with nice options that are tweakable (what you'd mainly expect though from a competing product).
Cons: Crashes on Vista Ultimate (RTM) during installation, then continues installation, then ultimately runs fine, then crashes randomly during saving of the configuration options. It did it's job though and leeched several websites for me, for offline browsing.
