In our duties reviewing software for Download.com we install and uninstall a lot of programs. As we're sure you can imagine, this creates a bit of a mess on our PC. Many programs leave files behind when they're uninstalled, and since we're constantly downloading and deleting things, we end up with a lot of invalid shortcuts, broken registry entries, etc. For this very reason, we were excited about trying WinUtilities Free Edition, a suite of tools designed to free up disk space and improve system performance. We were quite pleased with the program's results.
Some of what WinUtilities does--disk defragmenting and cleanup, for example--can be accomplished using the System Tools that come with Windows. But we liked the way the program combined these and other functions into one clean, intuitive interface, making all of the most useful Windows maintenance utilities easy to access. The program contains a full complement of features to help you manage your computer's performance and security, including a file shredder, duplicate file finder, task scheduler, and much more. The program's One-Click Maintenance feature allows users to run a variety of customizable buttons with the click of a single button. The program's built-in Help file is well written and thorough. Overall, we were quite impressed with WinUtilities, and we think it's a great tool for keeping your system in good shape and free of performance-hindering junk.
WinUtilities Free Edition is free. The program installs and uninstalls without issues. We highly recommend this program to all users.

"Excellent, efficient and effective."

Pros
Straightforward and easy to use. Relatively speedy for what it does. Free (obviously). does not interfere with other installed programs other than use of computer resources. A wide variety of tools in one package.
Cons
Nothing much. No autoupdate but I'm not that lazy 8-).
Summary
One of the best multipurpose tools available and a staple in my arsenal. I've used similar tools that were purchased and WinUtilities is a great mix for me of functionality and efficiency.

Intuitive, comprehensive, effective, and FREE. If you use this with ccleaner and a good anti-virus package, you will be well protected.
Cons
Does not always clean every registry error, but still does a very good job.

This program, with its many useful component tools, is as good a PC cleaner as others that charge full price. And it works just as well as they do.

A very powerful tool. Over the years, I spent so much time focusing on malware, adware, viruses, and the like, I neglected all the clutter that accumulates on the PC over time. This tool does a fantastic job of cleaning in the "nooks and crannies" of your PC.
Cons
A very powerful tool. Be sure to review the options before you run any of the programs. It does have the potential to "over-clean" your PC if you're not careful.
Summary
I would not recommend this tool for beginner-novice users. However, if you are charged with working on PCs that beginner-novice PCs use, it can prove useful.

"I can't rate this program it didn't do anything"

There is no way to know, it shows errors but doesn't fix them. In order to see if it actually works you have to buy it.
Cons
It looks more like a bait & switch or a scam. I don't think a computer would run if their scan is correct.
Summary
I don't think that I would bother with this program.
The program may work but when I ran it it asked that Activate it before it would fix anything.
It found OVER TWENTY THOUSAND ERRORS

I already have similar product and have never had as many errors as this program says I have (Over 20,000) -
