WinSettings Pro speeds up Windows start-up and deletes locked files. It lets you quickly uninstall applications even when uninstall is not included in Add/Remove or Programs and Features. It finds and fixes Windows errors, cleans up junk and duplicates, ensures your privacy and security protection, and maintains your computers for peak performance and reliability. WinSettings Professional Edition lets you take registry and system snapshot. Its suite of intruder protection features includes program and service terminator. You can lock up security and privacy settings, as well as hide Registry editing tools for added security protection. It comes with GUI for editing security related Registry settings with restore function. It cleans your surfing tracks automatically or on demand. It includes additional features such as Secure delete, Desktop customization like auto wallpaper changer, auto play background music, screensaver control, and screen capture.
Version 8.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

This program proves good things do come in small packages. While WinSettings focuses on protecting your online privacy and security, you also can use it to control screensavers and wallpaper images, change tray and system icons, customize start-up and shutdown routines, and establish background music.
The straightforward interface provides access to all the options through a program icon in the system tray or via the Control Center's tabbed interface. Along with its interesting and useful system settings and history cleaners, it includes unexpected features, such as a screen-capture utility and a Web pop-up blocker. The excellent File Associations tool offers all the tools you need to view and set active icons for each file type, as well as choose default actions, right-click options, and default programs. We used it to repair our Adobe Acrobat file association, which had broken while we were testing other software.
With its potpourri of functions, WinSettings should meet the needs of most power users.
