"I feel safe with WinPatrol"

Pros
I have the paid version. I have access to a database, if anything strange shows up in my 'puter I submit it to "Plus info" and Winpatrol tells me if it is safe and recommends to keep or remove. If remove, this program can do that. Also puts up a warning box if any program tries to make change in my 'puter. If I don't want change Winpatrol can stop that change.

You really have to have a lot of computer knowledge to run WinPatrol effectively, there are a lot utility tools in winpatrol, some of them you can find on other programs, but the tool i like the most is the cookies tool, here you can see all the cookies that are currently on your computer and you can check your list of cookies and delete the ones you don't want, what a lot of computer users don't know is their are good cookies, that you want to keep, these cookies have a lot of your log on information to your favorite web sites, so you don't want to delete them, then their are the cookies that you don't need or want, and you are gonna want to delete these because after time they really build up and use hard drive space, so how do you know the cookies you want to keep and the ones you want to get rid of, well just go down the list of cookies and keep the ones that are favorites of the web sites you like to visit, such as you tube or facebook.

It is a small program that does two things well: 1) protect you computer from certain types of malware based on behavior. It warns you when programs say they will start with Windows and one can control if they do. 2) It warns you when programs try to change file associations without your knowledge. Very useful program.
Cons
There are no negatives to report.

Runs seamlessly. Easy to shut down or bypass if desired. Have used earlier versions of Bill P's programs for years, never had a problem. Price is right.

"Powerfull and free"

Pros
Struggled to get rid of GBPLUGIN until re-installed this program. It blocked the many installations requests of the plugin then in safe mode with IOBIT managed the first fase of unistall.

Pros
It doesn't take over control of my computer. It's let's me know of an attempted download, but I decide how to proceed. It doesn't take a lot of space, a tutorial to know how to use, and it allows me to see and control my start-up apps and software in the easiest format I've seen. And I love the dog!

For me, there are no negatives with this program.
