WinMMPC is a media file-conversion and recording tool. You can convert RM and RA files to MP3, WMA, and WAV; convert MTV files to MP3, WMA, and WAV; convert among WMA, MP3 and WAV files; and rip CDs. You also can record audio from a microphone, a MIDI file, or Internet streaming audio.

This unimpressive audio converter translates audio files among WMA, MP3, WAV, and Real Audio formats. WinMMPC is extremely simple to operate: you select files to translate, choose the output format, and set the program running. For MP3 conversions, you can configure the sampling rate, variable bit-rate settings, and the overall quality of output files. For WMA translations, you can merely select audio quality. Note that to convert Real Audio or Real Media files, you'll need Real's RealPlayer installed. The publisher claims that more plug-ins are available on its Web site, but we didn't see any. The in-program help simply didn't work during our testing, and online support is negligible. On the plus side, the demo doesn't cut off output at 30 seconds, but limits you to tracks 4MB or smaller. There's also a plug-in for ripping CDs, but that's hardly anything to crow about. Overall, WinMMPC gets the job done, but comparable programs do much more.

  "Trial version to limited."

  Summary: Having read Tim's comments, I though I'd try using a small file. Its not good for anything over 2mb which isn't really a proper trial.

  "What is the file size limitation with the trial?"

  Summary: I went to test this program and every file I had on my computer was to large to use with the trial version. I didn't bother to even look into it any further. I just un-installed it.
