WinImage Professional is a disk image management utility. A disk image is a file that contains all the disk data (files, FATs, boot sector, directories, and so on). By making an image of a diskette and writing it onto another, you get an exact copy (as with the DOS Diskcopy command). You can read the diskette and write the image onto the hard disk. The day after, you can extract a file from the image--withoutusing the diskette. The week after, you can write the image onto two new diskettes, without needing the original, and create two exact copies of it.
