This feature-rich application provides handy tools while you work, though our tests uncovered minor errors. WinExtra Boss Professional's straightforward, Windows-style tree interface is simple to navigate. The program features useful tools for accessing your system as well as hardware information that is easily exported into text, HTML, XML, and XLS. The program features computer and data security modules for locking down Internet Explorer, viewing the current process, and generating and storing passwords, and for a firewall program manager. The application's flexible but easy-to-use search utility quickly finds files and registry entries. In our tests the logging tool caused intermittent program errors, although this may be a product of specific operating systems. The included cleaning utility deletes cookies, temporary files, orphaned links, and start-up programs. We found useful the simple utility for backup creation and restoration. For advanced users, WinExtra Boss Professional has various fine-tuning utilities for Windows desktop, Internet, hardware, and network settings. Anyone, from beginners to the savviest users, will find numerous benefits from this full-featured software.
