Where for iPhone takes a different approach than other location-aware services dedicated to helping you find gas, coffee, restaurants, and friends nearby. Despite a pleasant application interface and a bookmarking system to keep track of favorite locations, Where's utility is limited by the services it integrates, and your desire to use them.
It will show you coffee, but you'd better like Starbucks. You can find friends, but only if you and they sign up with Buddy Beacon. ZipCar is a temporary car rental service that urbanites might consider if they live on either coast, though the service hasn't yet spread to the middle of the United States. The point is that while some of Where's partnered services will appeal to some of the people at least some of the time, it needs to give users broader choices, and a say over which icons appear in the carousel.
Want to save time and money while discovering your local area. Where for iPhone helps you search and discover what's nearby with real-time information and recommendations on restaurants, movies, weather, news, cheap gas, friends and more. Read real-time reviews from other members of the WHERE community and post your own comments. And, quickly reach your destination with maps and directions.
