This program offers a fast and simple way to protect your privacy by erasing Web browsing and application history. Upon launch, the program automatically scans your PC for supported applications, including such commonplace ones as Adobe Acrobat and RealPlayer.
Clicking the Wash Now button literally leaves your browser's cache, cookies, the history, and the temporary files list as clear as the day Windows was first installed. If you want more control, you can specify exactly what components to clean via the Wash Setup icon. Webroot Window Washer doesn't display detailed information about specific files, but it does give you a list of basic statistics. You can protect the program with a password and schedule cleaning sessions at regular intervals.
The ability to wipe free disk space according to secure algorithms is a bonus, but it would be nice if the program also could shred files and folders. In the final analysis, Webroot Window Washer has very few flaws, making it a fine pick for anyone concerned with privacy issues.

Version: Webroot Window Washer 6.5
"Not for 64-Bit Operating Systems"
Pros: I have used Window Washer for years on 32-bit machines. It worked great
Cons: It will not run on 64-bit machines. This is very frustrating. Other applications on the market do support 64 bit applications. Unfortunately they are not as strong as Window Washer 6.5 is on 32-bit machines.
Summary: Window Washer is a proven, reasonably proced application. I credit it for keeping my older computers working strong. One PC is 7 years old. When I bought a new 64-bit laptop, I assumed Window Washer would work so i went to Webroot and downloaded ano... read more >>

Version: Webroot Window Washer 6.5
Pros: Keeps my computer clean and running great. I never worry anymore about these viruses you here about on the news. Webroot may not tell you about them, but believe me thier right on top of it,and you don't have to worry, you are protected.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say about them.
