WebcamMax is a program that works with your webcam to add new effects and features whenever you video chat or record videos. Although the sound quality could use some work, we liked this flexible little program.
WebcamMax's colorful interface is a bit busy but it's well-organized and easy to use with just a little practice. In fact, a lot of the work is done during installation, when you can choose which programs you want it to be the default Webcam source for. It supports Yahoo! Messenger, Skype, ICQ and other numerous other programs. There are so many special effects on offer that you might not have time to try them all, but they are fun to play around with and it won't take you long to find some favorites. While you video chat, you can add accessories, draw on the screen, and add animation and special frames, just to name a few. We did find that it was easy to get carried away with the special effects, but that just added to the fun. You can also alter the visual appearance of the images picked up from your webcam and add frames, or use your previously recorded videos and images and dress them up as you please. Our microphone volume seemed to be very low in every recording we made, even when it was right next to us, but we'll admit we don't have the highest quality mic.
If you're looking for a tool to jazz up your videos or images, WebcamMax is a feature-rich option that's easy enough for anyone to use.

"Not sure how to rate it - it wouldn't work for me."

Pros
Lots of effects, backgrounds and filters and pretty intuitive - at least what I was able to use.
Cons
Couldn't get it to record or take screen snapshots. Their tech support was very responsive, but unable to figure out why it wouldn't work - even this latest version. After about a couple of weeks of back-and-forth emails, I gave up and asked for a refund - which I haven't gotten a response to going on 3 weeks now! Also, when I tried to uninstall the program, files were left that kept a hold on my webcam. I couldn't delete them and finally had to download and use Revo to get rid of them.
Summary
I was really looking forward to using this program. I bought it right off without going through the free trial period and was disappointed when I found it un-useable and apparently un-fixable. And I'm more than disappointed that I've had ZERO response to my refund request. I guess I should have hit one of the umpteen links to the jack-leg free download sites that popped up on my Google search for WebCamMax instead of doing the right thing and paying for it!! One of those still might not have worked, but at least I wouldn't have been out $25!!!

If u wonder why, let me tell u: It has a great abundant of effects available for image and video editing. Still, it is not hard to learn to use it.Cons
