This updated weather application offers a smorgasbord of weather-related data. Once you've provided a zip code or city, Weather Watcher's easy-to-use interface displays detailed weather information, including forecasts, temperature, and expected highs and lows. You can add as many locations as you'd like and switch among them using the system-tray icon.
Automatic updates keep you abreast of the current wind speed, dew point, humidity, barometric pressure, and moon phases. You can display your location's current weather conditions by mousing over the temperature readout in your system tray. Weather Watcher provides extensive customizations, measurement conversions, and numerous maps from all over the globe, and a log for quick reference. You can view weather data with hourly and daily forecasts, and create a keyword list to filter severe weather alerts.
The application also features a wallpaper changer for your desktop using several file formats, including JPEG, GIF, BMP, and HTML. Our only serious complaint is its hefty 19MB memory usage. Overall, though, this informative, customizable program can benefit a wide range of users, and it's free to boot. This is a top pick.

Version 5.6.24a fixes bug: main window was not repainting correctly when resized.

"Best of the Three I've Tried."
Pros: This is the one that is just right, Goldilocks! WeatherBug was loaded with malware. WeatherChannel was loaded with ads and more complexity than I wanted or needed. WeatherWatcher just sits in on the task bar with my basics. Want more? One click away. Even more? Two clicks. More still? Three clicks. Intelligent design. Classy! Kudos!
Cons: The numerous options are a bit intimidating to the computer newbies, but I'm glad they are there.

Pros: Works fast & accurate, no spyware, good options & details, trustable predictions. This is one of the 10 programs I install everytime when I setup a new computer. Thanks to Singer's Creations.

Pros: I have to agree with damnationali. Stable, non-obstusive, etc. This is a great program and I would not use any other weather forecasting program. Just hope that Mike keeps it free for those of us who are using it on a regular basis.
