From NCH Software :WavePad is a full featured professional audio editor for Windows. Create and edit music, voice and other audio recordings. When editing audio files you can cut, copy, and paste parts of recordings and, if required, add effects like echo, amplification, and noise reduction and more. WavePad is a freeware WAV / MP3 editor but it also supports a number of other file formats including VOX, GSM, RA, AU, AIF, FLAC, and OGG and many more in the Master's Edition. Recording and editing Mp3 and WAV files are freeware features.
Version 4.26 includes improved reverb effect, a handy new viewing window and the option to use WavePad classic colors in your Waveform.

Version: WavePad Sound Editor 4.26
"Great overall product. Gets the job done well."
Pros: Fairly simple, though as stated above can get complex at times. Newer versions have improved on all things I used to find faulty.
Cons: Everything I would have complained on in a previous version is fixed. I think it's thanks to the complaints I and possibly others sent. So no cons from me.
Summary: I really enjoy working with this program, so many great features, even edit the audio from a movie clip and convert to many things and easily transfer to another one of their supported and connected programs! NCH: Well Done!!!

Pros: Works well, works with Vista, did not crash, plenty of tools, good layout.
Cons: A litle bit complex at times, but you can stick to the default settings.
Summary: Very good program for .mp3 editing.
Pitty I did not download this one first! -

"Wow! Exactly what I was looking for at the right price"
Pros: Very intuitive. Easy to use. Many more options for converting and saving audio files than I expected.
Cons: Haven't found any, yet...and doubt that I will.
Summary: Works perfectly for creating ring tones from my mp3 files. Once I figured out how to use all the controls I needed (3-4 minutes learning curve via trial-and-error), I can now create a new ring tone in as little as two minutes!

"The BEST sound editor software I have ever tried!"
Pros: This is absolutely the best sound editing software I have ever used. WavePad is very user friendly and has all the best features, usually only found in the high-end sound software. And the best part is it is well worth it's price and then some.
Cons: I haven't found any.
