From NCH Software :WavePad is a full featured professional audio editor for Windows. Create and edit music, voice and other audio recordings. When editing audio files you can cut, copy, and paste parts of recordings and, if required, add effects like echo, amplification, and noise reduction and more. WavePad is a freeware WAV / MP3 editor but it also supports a number of other file formats including VOX, GSM, RA, AU, AIF, FLAC, and OGG and many more in the Master's Edition. Recording and editing Mp3 and WAV files are freeware features. Version 4.03 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Great free - don't buy Masters edition"
Pros: Extremely easy to use, nice features
Cons: Squirrelly support, pricing policies so that, if you are not very careful, once you buy and activate you are screwed.

"This program is very good for sound editing."
Pros: It was nice to cut down some of the spoken words or sound which I not needed.
Cons: I had some problems handling noise distorsion, especially when the volume of the mp3 file was increaded.

"Easy to follow, easy to convert different media formats"
Pros: I like every facet of WadePad Sound Editor 4.03 and earlier versions. The program is concise, easy to implement and carry through with any media style without any glitches or hangups.
Cons: Does not apply.
