Version: WavePad Free Edition 3.02
Pros: It is a mediocre editor and con convert any audio file into any audio file
Cons: Well it is just a trial, but you can always redownload it.
Also when it converts the songs sometimes they do not work. And the editing is just very basic

Version: WavePad Free Edition 3.02
"A good editor but it doesn't save files!"
Pros: This is a good audio editor with plenty of features for basic digital sound editing.
Cons: File saves are disabled. My experience trying WavePad irked me because; (1) it's listed as having no limitations, (2) the installation process fails to mention saves are disabled, and (3) I spent an hour trying WordPad but I lost all my work after being unable to save. WavePad should be listed as a trial version and changed to either warn the user or allow at least a few files to be saved. I wanted a sound editor that works as described, not one that wastes my time, so I'll be looking elsewhere.

Version: WavePad Free Edition 3.02
Pros: It does what it says.
Cons: During the install it asks if you want to try their other software. When I selected yes it downloaded 5 programs of TRIALWARE, NOT FREE!!! Nothing about this is free. Deceptive tactics turn people off.

Version: WavePad Free Edition 3.02
Pros: It does what it says, but NOT for free. This is TRIALWARE.
Cons: CNET Needs to re-classify this program. Deceptive crap like this really pisses people off.
I know how to search for Trialware, shareware, and commercial software.
Tricking me into downloading this thinking it is Freeware, will forever sour me on all their products.
Especially since there are CHEAPER software packages that do far more than wavepad does.
So why the hell would I want to pay a premium for fewer features?
I guess that's why the makers of this software think it's necessary to pull a fast one in hopes that some less resourseful people will get hooked and pay their premium price after the trial expires.
