Publisher's description
From Against Intuition :WOT is a free service that helps you avoid disingenuous Internet content by allowing you to learn from other users' experiences. WOT shows you website reputations on your browser, telling you how much other users trust a website. This helps you make better decisions while browsing and avoid phishing, malware, and other types of online fraud. Reputations can also be added to web search results, Wikipedia, and other selected sites.
Version 20070501 fixes a small memory leak when closing windows, adds more robust error handling, and fixes some other minor issues.
CNET Editor's Note: The Download Now link will prompt a local download of the Firefox extension. To install the extension directly, open the file using your Firefox browser.

Version: WOT for Firefox 20070501
Pros: Neat, effective rating system, very good alerts to possible dangers. Very easy to submit one's own ratings. Extension works well, without bugs or slowdown.
Cons: Totally "reputation" based, relying entirely on user feedback. This is statistically effective for large, popular sites such as Google (good) or Kazaa (bad) or even Download.com (good too!); but with more specialist, e.g. academic or hobbyist, sites with far fewer users, only a handful will be submitting WOT feedback, and so the eventual ratings may be inaccurate or even biased. SiteAdvisor's ratings based on automated analysis enhanced by user feedback, or Scandoo's, based entirely on automated, real-time analysis, are therefore far more reliable. There appears to me no advantage to WOT that would cause me to use it in preference to either McAfee SiteAdvisor or Scandoo.

Version: WOT for Firefox 20070501
"Very helpful to know if sites are good or bad"
Pros: It is totally user made. If anyone had a bad time then they will rate it lower and then everyone else in the world can see that it is possibly bad to visit the site.

Version: WOT for Firefox 20070501
Pros: I wouldn't be without it, I use it in conjunction with McAfee Siteadvisor for safer browsing.
The more that use it, the better it'll get
Cons: none that I'm aware of
