Version: VueScan 8.5.11
"Good program but buggy in this release"
Pros: Numerous things. Very simple to configure, can save your settings in .ini files, does a great job with a variety of film types, works well with various scanners.
Cons: 8.5.10 and 8.5.11 are buggy and there is no support. Mr. Hamrick (program author) refuses support if you are using any non-default settings. My issues are batch scanning and scanning 120 film. Both require custom settings. I reverted to an older ver.
Summary: Don't get 8.5.10 or 8.5.11 and don't expect support if you're doing anything non-standard. Great product otherwise, have used it for 6 years with a variety of scanners. Does a fantastic job but these releases are buggy so beware. Crashes and inabili... read more >>
