From Miller4 Designations :VividSwitcher is a novel software for changing screen resolution without altering position of desktop icons. While you are watching online movies, it can change resolutions and gamma amounts temporarily to bring the best experience of a nicer and clearer movie, and then restore back to the original setting as you like. VividSwitcher reduces the stretch by changing the desktop resolution, so that the picture becomes clearer. And your desktop icons are all in their own position, you do not need to re-arrange it manually after the resolution restores because the resolution is temporary.
This software does not apply the resolution to your system but only controls your monitor to be changed. Version 2.2 supports adjusting gamma amounts, and provides a user-friendly interface for easier controlling all functionalities of it.
