Publisher's description
From Visualware :VisualRoute combines the tools traceroute, ping, reverse DNS, and Whois into a single graphical interface that analyzes Internet connections to quickly locate where an outage or slowdown occurs. An IP-location database identifies the geographical location of IP addresses and Web servers, showing the path of an Internet connection on a global map. The domain registration and network-provider contact information are reported for each hop of a network route for quick problem reporting. The 2006 release includes tabbed reports, a redesigned interface, integrated help and tutorials, multiple maps, and Firefox integration for all editions. New features in selected VisualRoute editions include continuous traceroute and ping testing, DNS performance analysis, custom maps, trace comparison, and performance history database.
Version 10.0h build 2908 features an updated IP location database for improved accuracy of IP location reporting.

Version: VisualRoute 2006 10.0h build 2908
"Nice visual representation of tracert command in CMD...but $50?"
Pros: It basically does what the command "tracert" in the Command Prompt does, except gives it a cool interface with a map, pinpointing the exact location of each hop in the tracert.
Cons: Its not free.
$50 for something that windows does for free with tracert? Do you really need to see where all the hops are?
Locations of the hops are approximate locations. It knows where the servers are located based on the ISP, but don't expect it to pick up that your IP is coming from your address. In my case, it would say that the connection is being made to the local cable operations building, which is like 5 miles from my house.
This is the only way to use visualroute anymore. Visualroute used to be purely based online, and the entire applet online would do what the current program does now, except for free. Quite the loss now that its gone...money grumbling fools!

"Professional work, idea good. Useful product."
Pros: Professional work, idea good. Useful product.
But very large price.
Cons: An interface is not very much clear. But due to the help the program can be considered useful.
