VisualRoute is an IP tracer, combining Traceroute, Ping, Whois, and other tools in one easy-to-use program. The physical city/country locations of IP addresses and Web servers are identified on a global map - key information for security purposes to trace hackers and suspects. VisualRoute also analyzes Internet connections to quickly locate where an outage or slowdown occurs. The network service provider is identified for each hop of a connection path, and worldwide domain and network Whois information enables quick problem or abuse reporting. An e-mail tracing tool helps troubleshoot e-mail delivery problems.

Version 9.2a build 2652 adds a Professional Support option, which enables a support technician to test connectivity from a remote customer location or data server to any Internet address.
