Publisher's description
From MindGems :Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder's main goal is to help you find fast all similar and duplicate images in a folder and its sub folders. Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder uses advanced algorithms to find similar images in a way that a human does. Due to that fact it can find similar images even if they are in different image formats, different bit depth and image sizes. You can specify a percent of image similarity that will be used.
Version 1.8.0.2 changes the database file format. Adds Auto Skew detection option.

Version: Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder 1.8.0.2
Pros: It looks great! It appears to do a thorough check for duplicates!
Cons: I could not, even once, get through a search of only two directories! Okay, yes, they are BIG and FULL directories with a number of subdirectories, (about 6000 files for a total of about 3GB with 75 subdirectories), but still, it was impossible to sit through.
The first time I let it run for half an hour and it was on 52% scanned. The second time I let it sit almost 45 minutes, only to reach an even lesser point (50% scanned).
The length of its run time wouldn't be SO bad but it slows down everything while it is running. Attempting to use the computer while running this was akin to attempting to use the computer while running the older defrag programs. Just not good.
I'd have thought it was just the size of directories but I tried other programs that did get through them in under ten minutes total time (and that is figuring high actually, I think it was more like 5 to 7 minutes to scan both large directories.)
