  Version: Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder 1.7.5.1

  "Nice interface and fairly accurate, but slow"

  Pros: The interface was clean, and it found most duplicates without errors. I like being able to scale the similarity you want by percentage, and it'll also show the percent difference in the comparison.

  Cons: It was slower than the program I normally use (VisiPics 1.1), and the demo version lacked the ability to delete.

  I tested it on line art (cartoon images). With 1162 pictures and 96% similarity, it took 391 seconds, vs. 176 seconds for VisiPics at its loosest comparison. It found 63 groups, four of them triplets, while VisiPics found 62, five of them triplets. Deleting the ones VisiPics found (since the demo version of VSDIF didn't have it), it found one Visipics missed, 2 were *not* duplicates (animated GIFs vs. single-image JPGs, though the very first frame was identical), and a set I didn't want to delete (successive frames in animation).

  I don't want to be too harsh on this program, since it is a nice start, and better than many others I've tried. However, until the next version comes out and I can test it, I would recommend VisiPics 1.1, at least if you have lots of line art (I didn't try it with photographs, so I can't compare the two).

  "works great easy to use"

  Pros: generally a user friendly program, lots of repeatitiveness, not the fastest but does its job

  Cons: no group select, and unless you intend to buy immeadiately shareware program does not allow you to delete the dups, just view them.
