"A huge dissapointment!"
Version: Virtual DJ 3.3
Pros
Colorful graphics, and loads of special effects make for an attractive package. Fast, automatic calculation of beats. Nice to see a wide array of alternative audio formats like Ogg Vorbis.
Cons
So much hype for what can best be described as a toy. Perhaps great software for throwing basement parties, but of little use in a professional enviroment. The beatmatching is horrible! Very unrealistic transitions. Also there is no ability to make critical adjustments to "automatic gain" which is very useful. Finally, there is a serious lack of stability in this software. More attention should have been paid to the size of the playlist window (titles are barely readable). As a wedding DJ for twenty years I can only offer two thumbs down.
Stick with "REAL" DJ tools like BPM Studio Pro from Alcatech (extra money spent is worth it in the long run).

"Excellent design with a few glitches."
Version: Virtual DJ 3.3
Pros
Ease in use, versatility and design.
Cons
Could be my PC, but sometimes the program "stutters" repeating the same portion of music for a second or two then it returns to normal. And no I am not hitting the "effect button" when this occurs!

"VERY RUBBISH VALUE!!!!"
Version: Virtual DJ 3.3
Pros
The pro is the fact that you can easily speed up/slow down the speed of an mp3 playback, which is good if you want to include mp3's on your computer in a mix - you can easily get the timing correct!
Cons
Well, for starters, who can DJ with a mouse??? Cummon' i mean, scratching with a mouse; what a joke! ...with £150 you are better off saving another £100 or so an buying propper decks!!! If you want to get into DJ'n dont bother with this, its rubbish; also what the hell is the publisher meaning by...
"targets every DJ from bedroom DJs to professional superstars such as Carl Cox, and is used everyday by millions of DJs, and in many big clubs"
What a load of rubbish!!! in many big clubs!!!! ...big clubs use Pioneer CDJ 1000's and Technics vinyl; with mixers that alone cost over £1000, this is a joke bit of software and shouldn't be anymore than a tenner!!!!
Dont let the other reviews fool you! ...I DJ Drum an bass; this really is nothing like the real thing!!!! (only use it for the fact that you can speed up and slow down mp3's) - so you connect your computer to your mixer and use it like another deck!
