Publisher's description
From H+H Software :From the developer: No experiments! Millions of both private and business users have already been enjoying the advantages of Virtual CD since 1998. Awards received every year validate just how easy to use Virtual CD is-and we're sure that you will become an enthusiastic user very quickly. Whether it's game CDs, route planners, dictionaries and reference books, graphics archives, photo CDs, or audio CDs, with Virtual CD, everything is within reach, whether you're at home, in your office, or on the road. Now you can forget about the annoying task of looking for and inserting your CDs/DVDs. With Virtual CD you can make compressed 1:1 images (virtual CDs/DVDs) on your hard disk. Then you can simply put the originals away in a safe place! Now your virtual CDs are available at the touch of a button or even automatically at the start of the corresponding program. Virtual CD supports CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, DVD Video, Video CD, Photo CD, Extra CD, Mixed Mode CD, CDI and Audio CD including CD Text. No more drive noise, no more changing CDs, no more slow CD start-up. With Virtual CD, you get additional virtual CD/DVD drives-up to 23! Your virtual drives work exactly like real CD/DVD drives-only they are up to 200 times faster! All you hear is music or sound. All you do is play, work, or just enjoy it. Virtual CD within the network: You can simply forget about hardware-supported CD-ROM servers or distributing CDs! As the administrator, you determine, which capabilities the network computers will have. You define who may create, delete, or edit virtual CDs/DVDs, who is administration-enabled, or who can merely read the virtual CDs/DVDs. You create a client setup of Virtual CD on your file server and then install "your" version of Virtual CD. Mobile computers, such as laptops, can access both centrally and locally stored virtual CDs. If the computer is not networked, Virtual CD immediately extracts the central resources. If a computer is plugged into a network at a later time, all centrally stored virtual CDs become available again.
