From VigiMac :

A free tool that communicates your IP address at regular intervals to our server and helps to recover your Mac if it has been stolen. Every two minutes, your Mac will call our server. In case of theft, send us an email and we will start recording any sign sent by your Mac to provide the police the Internet address of your thief.

You can now track your Mac from Vigimac.com to check your installation and to declare a stolen Mac, Fixed : system.log error with Launchd in MacOS 10.4.x .
