This video-conversion application will appeal to those who value convenience. Videozilla's interface is atypical for this type of software but is nonetheless convenient. Clicking the program's desktop shortcut leads you to an instructional screen, though you'll also find an icon for accessing the settings.Instead of providing you with a main window for browsing your PC and adding video clips, Videozilla works via the Windows Context menu. By right-clicking a video file you can select options for converting it to AVI, WMV, RM, MPEG, MP3, Flash, or WAV format. The Settings menu lets you adjust your output files by tweaking their frame rates, bit rates, and sizes. You'll also find a feature for extracting a section of the video, but you only can set one pair of cut points, and you have to enter them blindfolded, since the preview screen doesn't show up until you start the conversion process.
It is nice, however, that the program provides a basic yet attractive player. If you routinely transform many video clips, we'd guess you'll appreciate this utility's ease of use.

Version: Videozilla 2.8
Pros: I have to give props to Videozilla. It did something that the other half dozen converters I found couldn't. I had a specific problem; namely, I had to edit on a PC an avi outputed from FinalCut Pro on a mac. The video came to me with all the green pixels at the highest opacity and briteness so it was a wash with a sickly green. I knew I could get it to work right somehow because it viewed correctly in VLC player but Adobe and MS player played with all the green maxed out. Videozilla converted it and made the pixels properly formated and I was able to pull it in to premiere no problem.
For my purpose Videozilla worked great! Thanks

Version: Videozilla 2.8
Cons: There are too many obsticals in the program. You can't use .flv as an input, if you want to convert a .rm file you have to jump through a bunch of hoops making sure you have the right codecs. All together the software is just way to much of a pain to be worthwhile
