  "Does the job"

  Pros: Easy to use, intuitive interface. Easily edits mpeg2 files and quickly saves the result without unnecessary re-encoding. Joiner function works well. Can read vob files and save them as mpg.

  Cons: Has locked up trying to read damaged mpg files. Better if it just rejected it.

  "fast and useful"

  Pros: I needed to cut commercials from some programmed recorded from the video cassets, the file extension was mpeg2, I looked through the varyety of programms to do it - there are not many. some have to re-encode the file after cutting, others "disimulate" the parts you want to cut, but my purpouse was to reduce the file and earn time, and I am very glad with Videoredo: for example I cut 2 commercial parts of 5 min each one from a programm that lasts 1 hour, and it takes it 5 minutes to save the final file, the cuts are very accurate, you don't notice them in the resulting file. Besides the interface is nice and funny.

  Espanol: Aconsejo el programa, corta en segundaS y guarda el archivo final muy rApido: por ejemplo 1 hora del programa grabado del TV con 2 publicidades de 5 minutos cada uno - hecho estA en 5 minutos! y los cortes no se aprecian, no se notan. Otros programas "disimulan" las partes malas o lo decodificaN todo durante horas.

  Cons: I would like it to support more file types.

  "Quick and simple editing on MPEG files"

  Pros: Didn't read the instructions, but in just a few minutes I edited my MPEG files

  Cons: There may be some, but it met my immediate needs when other software did not. Would like more than 15 days to test it to try other features, this my limit my purchase.

  Pros: can someone tell me something usefull other than simply, baaaaad???...ok HOW is it bad?, for starters? does it leave watermarks, secondly, and thridly, can I edit without losing video quality?

  Cons: just answer the top 3 questions and I'll be happy, someone please?

  "Great tool for simple video editing and more"

  Pros: I highly recommend this program for simple editing of mpeg files. This program allows you to make simple cuts without re-encoding. In addition, it has some great tools, an intuitive interface, and good help and support.

  After purchasing a capture card, I began using the included software, Ulead Video Studio, to remove commercials and trim excess footage from the end of my mpeg file. Although I'm fairly adept at figuring out new software, it took me quite a while to figure out the interface. Once I was done, Video Studio then had to render the finished product, which took one minute for each minute of video. And when I was done, the result was awful. The reason, of course, was that I had taken a file that had already been encoded, and then re-encoded it to make my edits.

  After some searching, I found VideoReDo Plus and decided to give it a try. This product allows the user to simply copy the unedited portions of the video without re-encoding. Portions of the video surrounding the edits are re-encoded and seamlessly integratred. In this way, the quality of the original is preserved, and the user can make cuts at individual frames. And, it takes only a few minutes to save the edited video.

  That's the basics, but there is more. The user interface is highly intuitive and simple. Furthermore, users can tweak the interface to make it work exactly as desired.

  The program also has some nice added features. Most notably, it has a great tool for removing commercials. The program also has a tool to correct audio/video sync issues, as well as a tool to correct errors. I have not needed either of these tools, so I cannot comment on their effectiveness.

  Finally, the software's help menu is simple and comprehensive. And although I have not personally used it, the product appears to have excellent support, which includes active forums.
