"Removes Advertising Right Out Of My Recorded TV Shows"
Pros: I love recording TV shows and sharing them with family... but before VideoReDo it took forever to edit and remove the commercials, NOW IT TAKES SECONDS. I LOVE IT!
Cons: It has been on the market for a year and I did not know it existed.

Pros: Having just upgraded to Windows XP MCE, I was looking for a program that could convert my TV recordings from DVR-MS to avi, remove tv commercials, and be able to split avi/mpeg videos. VideoRedo Plus takes care of all these things... well almost. You'll still a program to convert the video from mpeg to avi (Dr.DivX), but don't be discouraged! Until now, I was using Nanocosmos Mpeg Editor to do the same thing which was 10x slower and was known to breakdown at very inconvneient times.
The interface is very user friendly which means you'll be spending less time configurating silly parametres and more time enjoying your newly created videos.
The price tag is $50, but when you consider it does everything it wants you to, it was a reasonable fee. It was the final decision between this and SnapStream Media (which conflicted with MCE LiveTV).
Fast little program... speed, speed, speed!!!
Cons: There is no CD available with the $50 price tag. Compression from DVR-MS to Mpeg was minimal so you will need a good Mpeg to avi converter. Dr. DivX does not do DVR-MS to avi... still, quality from DVR-MS to Mpeg to avi did not suffer.
