"Very Hand Software"

Fast, easy way to edit out commercials when transferring captured TV shows to DVD

Expensive.
Summary
Found this software when I was transferring programs saved on my DVR to DVD and I wanted to delete the commercials. I am using Roxio Creator 2009 and there was no easy way to accomplish my goal with C2009. VideoReDo made this simple, fast and extremely precise.

Pros
After trying Roxio Media player 10 (so buggy it keeps crashing) and some Nero products, I almost gave up trying to burn a DVD from TiVo. Fortunately, someone mentioned this program on a TiVo forum. Free trial got me hooked.
Cons
I wish they advertized - even a little - so I wouldn't have wasted my money on other inferior programs.

Easy to use. Only product that I have used that will easily remove unwanted video from anywhere within the video and save the file in mpeg rather then a new product code like WMM.
Cons
The commercial auto detect does not always work well to remove commericials within tthe video.

Pros
Just started the free trial. So far it's been great and saved me a lot of time editing commercials.
I own a media center PC with winXP media installed. Still have an antenna and dial up because I live in the boonies and not rich enough for satilite.
Been using Intervideo WinDVD Creator. It takes forever but VideoReDo buzzes right through in half the time. Haven't tried the automatic editing yet. I'll be sending them my money after my trial period.
I really recommend this program over any other.
Give it a try and you'll love it too.

I'm having one slight problem........it tends to flicker at times.

Everything. Very powerful tool for video editing. Fast and easy to use. If you do as much video "stuff" as I do this is a must have because it just plain works. Cuts, joins ... does it all.
Cons
A tad expensive but worth it for a first rate program.

It does the cutting re-stiching okay but it not accurate unlss you do it by hand.
Cons
I hate all the raving reviews that are all professionally written. It's clear the publisher is faking those reviews. The fake "cons" are a joke.
