This tool could be used for vectorizing of charts, logotypes, maps, schemes and other similar images for input to Vector Design, CAD and GIS systems. Main features of Vextractor: Create centerlines and outlines; Recognize arcs and circles; Recognize ortholines; Built-in vector editor; Polylines smoothing; Input raster formats: BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPEG, PCX, TGA, PNG; Noise filtration; TWAIN32-compatible scanner support; Output format for vector information: DXF, DXB, WMF, EMF, ArcView Shape files, MapInfo MID/MIF, ASCII XYZ, Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG); Coordinate referencing.
Version 2.5 has a modified vectorization algorithm with added line width limit for centerlines, boasts of interface enhancements and XP-style menu.
