Version: VQme AntiSpam 3
Pros: I have been using VQME for the last year and a half and have absolutely nothing but accolades for this product. My Inbox has
seen only one or two SPAM emails, and that was my own fault. After going back and banning the offender, I have not heard
from them since.
The setup was easy, just let their software do its thing and "Voila!!" get ready to be lonely again... Their use of Port 587 to
bypass my ISP's blocking Port 25 is absolutely ingenious. The smart filter is a very cool feature, allowing it to learn my mail
habits while providing me with great protection. I no longer have to wade through countless offers for drugs from overseas, fake
Rolex watches, personal "enhancement" methods, or any other offensive material to make sure that my business e-mails get
through.
After countless hours and dollars spent on other spam filters in the past, attempting to contact non-existent tech support, and
then finding out that I have to unload yet another program and spend more money, it is satisfying to finally find a company that
takes its mission statement seriously. If you call Vanquish for technical support, you WILL be connected to one of the
founders who will not make you feel like a fool for not knowing all the answers. I have had to call them twice and both times, I
got a voice with a heartbeat at the other end of the line (I hate computerized support), and the problem was resolved instantly.
The best part of this program is that once you are set up, you have to do absolutely nothing. The software is designed to do all
the work and all you have to do is enjoy your now clean Inbox. I performed an experiment by creating and not protecting a new
address on my website. After just a month, I was getting blasted with spam on a daily basis and my protected address which I
have had since 1994 was getting NO spam. (I deleted the new address).
My search for peace is over, They should call this program Nirvana.
Cons: Inbox is now a lonely place... Absolutely no cons

"Just won PC Mag Editor's Choice (June 2006)"
Pros: I've tried a lot of antispam products. Most are pretty good with blocking. But what makes them worth less (I didn't say "worthless") are those few good messages that get blocked. It just moves the drudgery from my IN box to the spam folder.
Read what the editors of PC Mag say in the new review (vqME is their new Editors' Choice). They highlight the fact that this one knows when to admit a message. It approaches perfection by keeping the definition of spam is very, very personal. It's not a cat and mouse game of seaching for the mis-spelled V1agra.
This utility is a liberator. It is one of those very few life-changing tools, because it frees up so much time. vqME knows what is truly relevant to me and it does this well.
Cons: Your looking at a pretty good product. Installation could be a bit easier. I needed some tech support toward the end.

Version: VQme AntiSpam 3
"VQme has absolutely solved my spam problem."
Pros: I have my own domain, and early in my web site design experience I made the terrible mistake of posting my e-mail address on the sites. I have since removed them all, but still get about 1000 spams a day. Even with Mailwasher Pro, which I like very much, it is painful to clear all that spam off the POP server. VQme now does that for me entirely in the background. Rather than checking my e-mail only when I have a block of time to cope with the spam filtering, I can now check it whenever I want, fully confident that spam hasn't leaked through. I am also sensitive about losing non-spam messages, but VQme has enough safeguards that I'm not missing any. $25/year is a no-brainer.
By the way, I have just switched from Windows to Macintosh OS X 10.4 - VQme works just fine there.

Version: VQme AntiSpam 3
Pros: I was getting so fed up with spam that I was thinking of ditching my domain. Now, it doesn't even reach my server.
This is the way all email should have been handled when spam started getting out of control. Forget filters, the spammers have proved they can get around them by using clever wording / spacing so that they're fooled. Until everyone is made to have digital signatures, this is the way to handle legitimate email and avoid spam.
Sure, it takes a little getting used to and a bit of bedding in. Compared to other programs I've used, it's no more or less of a problem. If you're serious about getting rid of your spam and even dishing out a bit of revenge, it's more than worthwhile persevering.
The guys on the helpdesk are fantastic. For a start, they are real people, which is always a bonus. What's more, they know their stuff and actually take time to help you (I'm UK based and they even called me back when I left a message for them).
The program is unobtrusive and doesn't slow your PC down in any way at all. As it doesn't even run on your PC, it obviously shouldn't!
In short, a great product that deserves to do well. The Google of the email world.
(PS - I've got no connection with them at all. I'm just a satisfied customer that believes in supporting and rewarding a good product and service. If they ever stop delivering, though, I'm just as quick to voice my concerns!)
