Version: VMware Player 2
Pros: It is my first time trying out vmware. Wow. This software is awesome. I can have my own computer within somebody else's computer. We have a computer at my friends house that everyone uses and everyone has their own vmware player vm in it. It isolates your virtual computer from everyone elses. Sooooo coool. No bugs. I dont find anything wrong yet. Man I am glad this is free.

Version: VMware Player 2
"Great free utility that allows you to try new OS's"
Pros: It not only provides you the VM to run your guest OS but it also provides the guest OS itself (at least in Linux). Plus it's FREE.
Cons: Speaking for the guest Linux OSs in a Windows host, not al the linux distros have access to the wireless network adapter in the host physical machine. Some do and some don't.
Summary: Good for testing out a new OS but not all guest OS's work right. Your mileage may vary.

Version: VMware Player 2
Pros: NO PROS!!!
Cons: I will never use VMWARE player again. It screwed up my OS majorly!! I had to recover my OS. I am not a beginner either when it comes to computers.
Summary: Don't waste your time!! VMware Workstation is much better!!! Use the workstation!!
